2010, October 15: staff recommendation; "That crossing has been licensed by the Commission (see Order No. 12,219 in Docket 76-22). PSNH also received a license from the Commission for the fiber optic cable it installed and maintains at the same crossing location (see Order No. 22,454 in Docket DE 96-370). PSNH states that it needs to uprate the M-183 line conductors to increase the power transfer capability of the line in order to meet the increased load growth in the seacoast are of New Hampshire."

2010, September 23: revised petition to cross the Cocheco River in Dover

2010, August 27: petition to cross Cocheco River in Dover; "uprate the M- 183 line conductors to increase the power transfer capability of the line. This need is a result of load growth in the seacoast area of New Hampshire. A portion of the M-183 line, from Madbury Substation to Structure 13 and from Structure 55 to Cocheco Street Substation, is 795 ACSR 36/1 conductor currently designed to operate at 212°F (100°C). This project will raise structures in certain locations to allow the 795 ACSR 36/1 conductor to operate at a full rating of 284°F (140°C) and maintain all required clearances."

2009, October 7: Order Nisi granting license; "The majority of the line is constructed with 795 kcmil ACSR conductors; however, a 3.2 mile section, including the Bellamy River Crossing, is constructed with smaller 477 kcmil ACSR conductors. According to PSNH, load growth in the seacoast area requires that this small section of line be upgraded to match the power capacity of the remainder of the line. PSNH said it also plans to upgrade the existing static wire conductors providing lightning protection at the crossing."
